What is Flamingo Land?
The Flamingo Land Resort serves as a Theme park, Resort and Zoo that was incorporated in the year of 1959 and was set up by the efforts of Edwin Pentland Hick. Initially, it was named as The Yorkshire Zoological Gardens but in 1968, it was renovated with the name of Flamingo Park Zoo. The Theme park comprises of various Family Rides, Kids Rides, Scenic Rides and Extreme Rides which includes Flip Flop, Kumali, Velocity, Ballon Race, Gallopers, The Navigator, People Moover, Cycle Monorail, HMS Bouncy, Junior Roundabouts, Splash Battle, Pterodactyl and many more. Additionally, it also provides the facilities of Gym, Spa, Leisure Centre, Golf Course etc to its visitors. Furthermore, the Zoo in Flamingo Land comprises of over 120 distinct species of animals and some of them are named as Sea Lions, Tigers, Reptiles, Lions, Exotic Birds, Penguins, Hippos, Camels, Chimpanzees, Giraffes and others. The Zoo was updated to its current name in the fiscal year of 1974 and is centralized at Malton, North Yorkshire, England, the United Kingdom. It Act as th parent of its subsidiary named as “Pleasure Island Family Theme Park” or simply known as Pleasure Land. The Pleasure Land is also considered as a Theme Park that consists of 47 attractions including 3 Roller Coasters and 2 Water Rides. The operating season of the Flamingo Land is from March to November and facilitates its services on the slogan of “Wild Animals, Wilder Rides”. The opening times of the Flamingo Land Resort are from Monday to Sunday 10 AM – 4 PM.
