What is Uverse Contact?
U Verse or At and T U Verse is the trademark of AT and T Inc for its triple play services including IPTV, broadband Internet, and IP telephone. It uses FTTN network for the delivery of its services. U Verse also use DSL on ADSL2+ or VDSL platform where its FTTN network is not available.
The development work on U Verse was started by AT and T Inc in 2004 when the latter was existing as SBC Communications. Its beta version was made available in 2005 as IP services package in San Antonio before being launched officially Next year. In 2006, U Verse launched its HD services and provided the facility to record four content simultaneously on DVR. The U Verse network was accessible to over 2.8 million households in its servicing territories in 2007. It also launched in Detroit, Los Angeles, San Diego, Cleveland, Riversie in the same year. It added voice package in its suite of services in 2008 before the launching of AT and T online Photos from Flickr. It reached the mark of one million customers in 2009 with the subscription rate of 12,000 every week. In the same year, U Verse was available in Chicago, San Francisco, Indianapolis, and Hartford. Its subscription base was increased upto 4.1 million people in 2012.
IPTV is one of the services in the triple play packages of U-Verse which is provided through DVR by transmitting on MPEG-4 Part 10 format. Its DVR Box can record upto multiple content at one time. U Verse transmits over 500 channels including 200 HD channels belonging to the genre of movies, sports, news and entertainment. Its DVR has been designed by Cisco and Motorola while uses modems by 2 Wire, Pace and Motorola to deliver its double play and triple play services.
Its Internet services are delivered through the Ethernet, Wi Fi and DSL modem. U Verse has divided its range of download and upload speed according to the packages starting from 3Mbps download speed upto over 40 Mbps. It also offers safety packages regarding the Internet safety including Anti Virus, SpamGuard, parental controls etc.
U Verse provides IP telephone services under its voice segment in triple play packages. Its home phone features Caller ID, Call Rejections and Call Blocking. U Verse offers various plans for its voice services including unlimited and extra minutes talktime.
