The University of Lethbridge is the premier co-educational research institution that was set up in the year 1967 as a 'liberal arts institution'. The university provides a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs pertaining to Accounting, Agricultural Studies, Archaeology and Geography, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Philosophy, Economics, Finance, Humanities and General Management. It is a publicly held educational institution which is commonly known as U of L and Uleth. The University of Lethbridge has Three urban campuses namely Lethbridge campus, Calgary campus and Edmonton campus. The main campus of the university is Lethbridge campus which is spread in an area of around 460 acres. The other two campuses: Calgary and Edmonton were established in the year 1996. This university works as a part of the Alberta Rural Development Network. The University of Lethbridge is one of the top ten largest universities throughout the country. It serves more than 9500 students every year. The university is affiliated to the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada; the Association of Commonwealth Universities; and the Canada West Universities Athletic Association. The University of Lethbridge has six faculties which are Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Education, School of Graduate Studies, Faculty of Arts and Science, Faculty of Management and Faculty of Fine Arts. The University of Lethbridge Art Gallery is the Canada's largest art gallery which has large collections of 13,000 plus articles. The university has rewarded with the 'Research University of the Year award'.
