The shopping complex is owned and developed by a privately owned real estate company The Pyramid Companies. Destiny Usa is the state's largest and country's sixth largest shopping destination which is vid by a large number of people annually. The six-story shopping center has a total retail floor area of approximately 2.4 million Square feet. The mall has a features a wide variety of stores such as clothing, electronic products, furniture products, food stores and more. It has Three parking garages, of which two are underground. The shopping center has numerous entertainment facilities such as and the its premises include restaurants, Regal Cinemas and many more. Destiny USA was opened in October of 1990. The where the mall is located was previously known as the Marley Scrap Yard, a landfill with a number of oil tanks. Initially, the mall was named the Carousel Center and it gave space to various discount department stores. The shopping center in 2012 adopted the name Destiny USA and operations of CarouselCenter.com were transferred to DestinyUSA.com. The Central New York Regional Transportation Authority (Centro) provides the Transit services to and from the mall.
