What is Nutone?

NuTone is an American company that is engaged in the business of manufacturing of consumer electronic goods and some electrical products. The company's product range covers large number of products such as electric fans, ventilation systems, range hoods, electric heaters, indoor air quality products, electrical heating systems, ventilation fans, electrical chimneys, doorbells, intercom systems, ironing equipment, home theater systems and other household products.

NuTone was established in the year 1936 with the efforts of J. Ralph Corbett in Cincinnati, Ohio. Initially, it sold door bells under NuTone brand, and later the company started manufacturing and sale of kitchen products like ventilator hoods and other appliances. The founder of NuTone also funded the inventions of an inventor from Dayton, Ohio who was working in developing a doorbell that could soon replace door buzzers. In the year 1955, the company became public and in the year 1967 he company sell some amount of its shares to another company named 'Scoville Manufacturing Company'. Since its inception NuTone was sold to many companies and the names of some of them are Valor, Nortek, Inc. NuTone got through the major expansion when it took over the business of the Broan Manufacturing Company, Inc. in the year 1981.

NuTone's products are sold all over the country through its dealers, distributors and online shopping portals. For providing after sales services to its products the company had opened many service centers of theirs in different parts of the country.
