What is Lake Hemet?
Lake Hemet is a water reservoir situated in the San Jacinto Mountains in Riverside County. It is a man-made lake encircled with San Jacinto Mountains. It is the part of California occupies total area of 470 acres. This lake was constructed by mending Hemet Dam in 1865 which is operated and owned by Lake Hemet Municipal Water District. Lake Hemet has total water volume of 14,000 acre feet. Lake also allows fishing which is major attraction in the area, as it is abode of many specious of fishes including rainbow trout, Channel catfish, bluegill and Largemouth bass.
