What is Edf Contact?

EDF is the UK based public utility company engaging in the generation and distribution business of gas and electricity. It provides its Energy services in the United Kingdom and is headquartered in London England. Its services are subscribed to over 13,158 people. EDF is the subsidiary of Électricité de France and has the strength of more than 13,158 people.
EDF came into existence in 2002 through the amalgamation of SEEBOARD, London Electricity, SWEB Energy and Three power stations. In 2004, EDF Energy had its Development branch to combine the infrastructure of its acquisitions. The branch priority was to develop partnership in public sectors though its was lasted until 2006. It was considered as one of the largest energy generators in the UK after the acquisition of British Energy in 2009. In 2010, EDF Energy Networks, which was the distribution network for the EDF was sold to Cheung Kong Group.
Its energy generation facilities are coal fired, Wind farms, and nuclear plants. It has two coal fired power stations with the capacity of 2000 MW located in Cottom and West Burton in the surrounding area of Retford, Nottinghamshire. Its Cottom power station is located at the bank of the River Trent and is operated round the clock. Its West Burton power station spreads in an area of 410 acres and caters to the needs of nearly 2 million customers. These plants made EDF Energy one of the largest coal fired power generating utilities in the UK. It formed its 1,311 MW CCGT plant in 2011.

EDF runs wind farms at Kirkheaton in the region of Northumberland and Tow Law, County Durham. The wind farm located at Kirkheaton, Northumberland has the production capacity of 1.8 MW and has been in operation since 2000. The company operates eight nuclear power facilities divided into severn AGR and one PWR power stations. Theses power stations generate upto 9,000 megawatts of energy.

Its sponsorship has covered majority of shows including Soapstar Superstar and City Lights. EDF has also been the sponsor of various sports events such as 2006 FIFA World Cup, EDF Energy Cup, London Olympic 2012 etc. EDF has also associated with The British Red Cross in 2008.
