What is Monocton High School?

The Monocton high school is located in NB in Canada. It was established in the year 1935 and was pioneered by Fred Edgett who was a wholesale grocery manager. It is one of the oldest schools that are situated in New Brunswick in Canada. Today, nearly 1300 students from Moncton area are attending this school. It is housed in the Heritage Canada Foundation building and is built in Gothic Revival-style architecture. The school provide training to the aviation and aeronautic engineering students also. It is a fine building that is built in Gothic style.
It consists of grade from 9 to 12. Today, the high school has appointed 90 staff members. The students can learn either in English medium or in French also. The Education Minister, Joddy Carr has planned to establish a new school in Royal Oaks because they can avail many types of conveniences such as transportation, accessibility to public utilities, community amenities and the increasing population in the place. The school consists of many facilities such as an auditorium and a large playground for playing various games and sports such as soccer, football, basketball, volleyball etc.
They are engaged in many types of extra-circular activities such as badminton, football, soccer, basketball and other sports, drama, associations such as student council, music, band and dance. Soccer is the game that is most popular in the school.
Student counselors in school:
The school has appointed three counselors who provide guidance to the students in all issues of education. They provide counseling to the students in the matters of studies, information about school activities, attaining scholarships, student loans, and bursary and even counsel their psychology. The students fill the ‘appointment slip’ letter and meet them.

Their motto is ‘seek wider horizon’, which means that a student can progress in every aspect of life.
