Kuhn and was named as “American Water Works and Guarantee Company” at its beginning stage. In the year of 1947, The organization was re-named as American Water Works Company, Incorporation.

The organization offers water management products and services to a large number of individuals in over 40 states throughout the United States. It owns over 15 regulated subsidiaries namely, Missouri American Water, California American Water, Illinois American Water, and numerous others to provide water and wastewater services. It is a privately held water distribution services providing organization and handles its operations under two categories namely, Non-regulated operations, and regulated operations.

The parent organization of the Missouri American Water operates a Nationwide network of numerous storage facilities, pumping stations, treatment plants, and nearly 45,000 miles of main and collection pipe to serve a countless commercial, residential, and industrial customers all around the country. The head office of the Missouri American Water is situated in St. Louis, Missouri in the United States.
