What is Georgia Department of Revenue Contact?
The Georgia Department of Revenue (GDOR) is tax law enforcement agency that handles and develops procedures for the collection of taxes within the state of Georgia. The rules, regulations and policies are created keeping in mind the use of alcohol and tobacco like products within the state. The department is administered under the supervision of Revenue Commissioner.
There are several operating divisions such as the Administrative Division, the Alcohol and Tobacco Division, the Compliance Division, the Government Services Division, Taxpayer Services Division, etc. The administrative services are handled by the administrative division of the department of revenue under the jurisdiction of U.S. state of Georgia. The licensing requirements for the alcohol, tobacco and coin-operated amusement machine industries are looked after by Alcohol and Tobacco Division with the introduction of Legal Affairs and Tax Policy (LATP). The Georgia Department of Revenue abides with the tax laws and title laws along with taxpayer guidance and communications, bankruptcy issues, drafting and review of regulations, review of complex Open Records Act issues, procurement documents, review of external correspondence, proposed legislation and other factors.
