What is Etihad Stadium Contact?

Eithad Stadium also known as Docklands Stadium is a multi-purpose sports stadium of Australia. The earlier sponsorship names of the stadium were Colonial Stadium and Telstra Dome. Its establishment was started in the year 1997 and completed in 2000 with the name Victoria Stadium. The stadium is situated in Harbour Esplanade, Melbourne Docklands. The owner of the stadium is James Fielding Funds Management and the operator is Melbourne Stadiums Limited.The architects who constructed the stadium were HOK Sport and Daryl Jackson Architects.

The total capacity of the stadium is 53,359 seating capacity and 56,347 venue capacity. Initially the stadium was constructed as a replacement of the Waverley Park which was built for Australian rules football. The first match in the stadium was played between Port Adelaid and Essendon. The total cost involved in the construction of the stadium was approximately Australian $460 million.

The first indoor one day international match in the stadium was played between Australian and South African Cricket teams in 2000 and the VB Series 2006 also held in this stadium. It was also the first Australian stadium with moveable seats. In 2008, the Rugby League World Cup was played in the stadium between Australia and England followed by the opening games of State of Origin Series in 2009 and 2012.
