What is EPF Office in Ahemadabad?
The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) was initiated on 15th November, 1951. Mentioned as Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 which has been amended fifteen times, is applicable all over India except Jammu and Kashmir. It has the largest financial transactions undertaken by it in the world. The Act and Schemes under it are directed by the Central Board of Trustees which comprises of the Government (Central and State), Employers and Employees. They administer a contributory provident fund, pension scheme and an insurance scheme for the workers of organisations to which Epf and MP Act applies. Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is responsible in assisting the board, and has its offices in about 120 locations across the country. Epfo is a statuary body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. Any establishment employing more than 19 employees and falling under the 187 classes of establishments as per the Act falls under the purview of the EPF and MP Act 1952. The office of Additional Central P.F. Commissioner, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh has four regional offices, three in Gujarat (Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat) and one in Indore (MP). They also have three sub-regional offices in Ahmedabad which are in Naroda, Rajkot and Vatwa. Their Aim is to receive and settle claims at any of the 280 EPF locations with the turnover time of two to three days in order to improvise on the reach and quality of their program.
