What is Cell One?
Cellone is the former name of the BSNL Mobile. It is a state owned telecommunications company that was started in October 2000 Cellone and changed its name to Bsnl Mobile in 2007. It has its headquarters in New Delhi, India. BSNL Mobile operates a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited which is an Indian oldest and largest state owned telecommunications company. It offers a vast range of mobile network broadband services, 2G prepaid and 3G prepaid plans. It provides its services to the residential and business customers. The plans of BSNL Mobile are available for subscribers using GSM, Wi Max, CDMA Mobile, CDMA Data Card and CDMA Fixed services.
History of Cellone
Cellone was launched in 2000 to provide connections for the wireless services in India. In 2005, Cellone started providing services on the platform of GPRS and EDGE in selected cities across the country. In the same year, the company launched various offers on mobile and broadband services and added on services. The parent company of Cellone, BSNL went into agreement with 100 wireless carriers across the world to provide cheaper call rates on roaming. In 2007, CellOne was rebranded as BSNL Mobile. The company rolled out its 3G services in 2010 which would deliver content for watching and downloading on higher bit rate. Today BSNL Mobile is active in over twenty
Telecom circles in India. In 2010, BSNL Mobile has seventeen percent of mobile customers in India.
