Bell Phones is the brand name of the Mobile telephones launched by Bell Canada, popularly known as Bell; which is a publicly owned media and Telecom company based in Canada. Its headquarters is located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The company was established in 1880 by Charles Fleetford Sise as Bell Telephony Company after Alexander Graham Bell, who invented telephones and was the co-founder of the company. The company received first telephone supplies in a building located in Brantford, Ontario from a company led by Thomas C. Cowherd that initiated the formation of the first telephone company in Canada. On march 7, 1968 the company's name was changed to what it currently is known as, Bell Canada. Presently, it is owned and operated by BCE inc.
The company offers a wide range of mobile phones of various brands that are traded under the name of Bell Phones like Samsung Galaxy S5, iPhone 4S, Nexus 5 etc and are sold in categories of Plus or the basic devices etc. Along with this, Bell also deals in accessories, sim cards and Internet plans for these phones. Some of the other services delivered by Bell are listed as satellite television, tablets, voice and entertainment services etc.
The company is primarily in competition with the Rogers Communications. Bell Canada or Bell is the holding company of Bell TV and Bell Mobility etc. As per reports, Bell Canada has workforce of about 55,250 people and generated revenues of worth $19.49 billion in 2011.
