What is At and T Wireless?
AT and T Mobility is the wireless brand of At and T Incorporation and is subscribed to over 116.01 million customers in the USA. It is one of the largest Mobile phone service providers in the USA and is based in Lenox Park, Georgia, USA. It is the erstwhile Cingular Wireless LLC (AT&T Wireless Services), which was merged into AT and T in 2006. AT and Mobility has employed over 70,000 people in its different operating divisions throughout the country. At and T Mobility offers various telecom services and products such as Mobile phone services, Wireless Broadband, Digital TV etc.
AT and T Mobility can trace its Origin back to 2000 with the establishment of Cingular Wireless LLC, jointly operated by SBC Communications and BellSouth. It was one of the largest wireless service providers. After acquiring the AT and T Wireless Services, Inc., it got over 40 million customers to be the largest mobile phone service operators in the USA. In 2009, Cingular was introduced as AT and T after omitting the “new” word from the title with the product services like broadband, U Verse, fixed line telephone, wireless services etc. AT and T launched a marketing campaign to inform the customers about the transformation of Cingular into AT and T. Its domain was shifted from cingular.com to wireless.att.com in 2007 after removing Cingular logos, features and information. To provide more strength to its mobility services, AT and T took over many wireless carriers such as Dobson Communications, Centennial Communications, NextWave Wireless, Alltel brand, Leap Wireless etc.
