What is American Film Institute?
The American Film Institute was established in 1967. It is an independent non-profit organization. It is developed by the National Endowment for the Arts. It is managed by the National Film Theater in Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center until 1998. Before Kennedy Center, it screened movies in the auditorium of the National Gallery of Art. George Stevens, Jr., provided as home from the institute's beginning until 1980. He was followed by Jean Picker Firstenberg who held the position of President executive and Ceo from 1980 to 2007. Bob Gazzale was known as Chief executive and CEO in 2007.As a national charitable company, the institution funds its initiatives through base and Federal Government allows.
