The YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) is a Worldwide Organization and its Headquarter is located in Geneva, Switzerland. It was founded by George Williams in the year 1844 in London. The Regina, Saskatchewan YMCA was established in year 1890 and was formally opened on November 20, 1890.
The YMCA Regina is a charitable association and is open to all. It is committed to developing Leadership and enriching community and people at every stage of life. There are two branches of YMCA located in Regina, The Downtown YMCA and the Northwest YMCA. The downtown YMCA is enclosed by active and lively community and has four lane swimming pool, gym and squash. The Northwest YMCA is surrounded by family based community and is located in Rochdale area of Regina. It has a facility of gym, classrooms, swimming pools, water slide and child care facilities.
