The World Bank is global financial bank that offers loans to developing countries for capital programs. Its Aim is to abolish the poverty. It is an international organization based in Washington, D.C, USA, and consists of two major institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA). It mainly gives emphasis on poverty reduction strategies to reduce child mortality, ensure environmental sustainability, develop a global partnership for development, achieve universal Primary education etc. The bank has membership with 188 countries (IBRD) and 172 countries (IDA).
