It was founded in the year 1976 by Bob Morrisey.
Three years later, it was taken over by

Operations:
It provides its rating on a 50-100 scale wherein a score of 50-74 is not recommended and the highest score of 95-100 is Classic- a great wine. The wine critics who figure among Wine Spectator’s tasting and reviewing panel are James Laube, Harvey Steiman, Bruce Sanderson, Kim Marcus and James Molesworth.
