Savoy Theater is located in Savoy Street of London which came into existence on 10 October 1881. It is the mainstream professional theater made by Richard D' Oyly Carte on an ancient Savoy Palace . It was earlier used for famous comic operas of Gilbert and Sullivan, which later known as Savoy Operas. One thing is also famous about this theater, it was the first building and theater to have electricity. This theater has been part of many notable public performance such as England of Oscar Wilde's Salome, Noel Coward's Bilthe Spirit etc and other musicals. In addition to this, Savoy Theater has also presented Shakespeare and other non-musical plays. This theater has rebuilt many times such as in 1929 it rebuilt by Frank A. Tugwell, and with the coming of 1993 William Whitfield rebuilt it to extend its space. Savoy Theater is owned and operated by Ambassador Theatre Group. The theater has total seating capacity of 1,1580 over its all Three levels including the stalls, dress circle, and upper cirlce.
