The firm can be registered at any time, not necessarily at the time of formation. The state government establishes the office of registrar and sub-registrar in every district. Any alterations after registration should be notified to the registrar. The registration requires a prescribed fees and true copy of the partnership deed and ownership proof. The register of firms should be open to inspection under Section 66 of the Act.
