What is Queens Theatre London?
As the name suggests, Queens Theater is a theater used for musical shows, plays and such other productions. It is located in Shaftesbury Avenue owned by Delfont Mackintosh Theaters, a well established theater group which is run by Sir Cameron Mackintosh, the British theatrical producer. Queen theater was setup on 8 October in 1907 designed by W.G.R Sprague. The theater can hold 1200 spectators in its all Three levels including of 25 standing places. Comedy Show by Madeline Lucette Ryley was the first show in this theater which ran for 36 performances. The theater is built in Italian Renaissance style, and its roof is painted with white and gold color. It has green carpets, hangings and upholstery. Moreover', the hall also has a saloon, refreshment room, and other accommodation. Queens Theater has been witnessed of many talents such as Peggy Ashcroft, Robert Donat, Edith Evans, Alec Guinness, Rachel Kempson, Gertrude Lawrence, Sybil Thorndike, Fiono Shaw, Robert Morley etc. The theater can also be accessed by disables as it is well equipped with all facilities for disable persons.
