Panasonic History
A Japanese industrialist, Konosuke Matsushita, gave birth to the company in 1918 in Osaka. He started the company as a light bulb socket vendor. The original name of the company was the Matsushita Electric Industrial Company, Limited. In 1927s, the company started manufacturing light bulb holders under the brand name National. In January 2008, it adopted the name Panasonic Corporation and emerged as a successful brand of consumer electronics products. In 1973, the company joined hands with the Anam Group and the new company formed was Anam National that was purchased by the Anam Electronics in 1998.
