Norfolk Airport is a publicly owned international airport located in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. The airport was founded in 1938. It is owned and managed by 'Norfolk Airport Authority', a political part of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The airport generally serves Northeast North Carolina and Southeast Virginia regions. Six reputed airline take off from here to hundreds of overseas cities such as American Airlines, AirTran Airways, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Express and US Airways.
It has two passenger terminals, which remains open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and occupied about 1,300 acres of land. Norfolk Airport welcomes several visitors and passengers every day and till 2013, it has handled approximately 3,299,728 visitors and passengers.
