Mount Marcy is the tallest point having elevation of 5,343 feet and resides in the Keene Town, Essex country. The mountain is situated at the Heart of the Adirondack High Peaks which is a suburb of High Peaks Wilderness Area. Being a highest mountain in the state of New York, it provides stature as well as expansive views of different locations in the state. The place is quite popular among the visitors; mostly people visit this mountain in summer times. The point is overlooked by the lichens, rocky outcrops and Alpine shrubs. The mountain was named by the New York Gov. William L.Marcy who empowered the environmental research to explore the whole area.
