What is Minnesota West Jackson?
Minnesota West Jackson is one of the campuses of Minnesota West Community and Technical College which is a public coeducational institution that offers various certificate, diploma and degree programs to the students such as Accounting, Business Administration, Computer and Information Technology, Dentistry, Engineering, Economics, Forestry, Human Services, Law, Mathematics, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Psychology, Sociology and lots more. On the other hand, it also provides online courses. It has five campuses namely Canby, Granite Falls, Jackson, Pipestone and Worthington. In addition to this, it has four learning centers which are located in Fairmont, Luverne, Marshall and Redwood Falls. The college was established with the first campus in Worthington High school. In 1936, the school was given the college status under the name Worthington Community College and moved its campus to the north of Lake Okebena in 1966 which is the present campus. The present campus covers an area of around 76 acres. With the development of college, Worthington Community College was merged with Southwestern Technical College on January 1, 1997 and the name was given "Minnesota West Community and Technical College". The college offers a vast range of facilities to the students such as bookstore, cafeteria, library, seminar hall, internet center, Housing facility, sport facility, parking space etc.
