What is Masai Mara?
Masai Mara also known as Maasai Mara National Reserve or The Mara, is such a Big game reserve in the county Narok, Kenya. The place has got its name to give tribute to Maasai people which were the inherited population of the area. The region is famous throughout the world for its remarkable population of lions, cheetahs, zebras and leopards. The members belongs to Big five family i.e. African elephant, Black rhinoceros, African buffalo, Lion and leopard can be found in the Masai Mara. Moreover, Hippopotami, hyenas, jackals and Nile crocodiles can also founded in a bunch near Mara and Talek rivers.
