Magellan GPS Customer Service Number

I do not know how may words I can include here --- yesterday, I called a number which was assigned to your company 844-210-3777. I supposedly go a MARK SMITH --- not his real name --I asked to update my magellan gps, which was include in the purchase of my GPS -Serial number0920000712621. He asked to be able to get into my computer, which I allowed. He said he needed to clean up my computer as he could not download my updates. Said he could do that with $150 of software -I said number He said what can you afford and he went to $5 and I said okay. He got software from Best Buy and told me he had discounts for that --- I DID NOT AUTHORIZE $150. I said okay to $5. After it was done, I asked him to exit my computer and he said the discounts would appear. I called my credit card company and am cancelling my credit card. IT WAS A SCAM -- I tried to call him back and of course, no one is there by that name. I REALLY NEED HELP TO FIND HIM FOR THE COMPANY'S REPUTATION. I cannot believe I called a number and got a person who does scams at that number. I will cooperate with whatever we can do to find this person. He said he was in Bakersfield, Ca PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS SITUATION. I am sure the corporation does not want this kind of information floating around about their products and advertising. I have made many attemps to download new maps on my magellan gps, I have failed to find any website that will allow me to complete this task. I have mady many attemps to contact Magellan about this mater, the many ways I have taken I have failed. I have mady many attempts to find a phone number for Magellan each time I have failed, I have dialed the number you have privided many times each time someone on the phone ssys tgis is not Magellan. If you cannot resolve my problem in a timely fashion, I will make it my lives mission to tell the world about your lousy service.

Your customer support telephone number is one digit short (033?) as listed in your printed burb. Telephone number support as listed in your quick start guide always rings without any answer after you get thru the digital answering system. I wanted to ask a simple question of how to reset the RV9490T-LMB (new), but think I will be better off returning this unit and purchasing a competitors unit that has support available.
