Before January, 2014 Long Island Power Authority operates as an independent company.
Long Island Power Authority was set up in the year 1998 but Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) was established long back in the year 1903 when the electricity services were new to the world. From January, 2014 onwards Long Island Power Authority is known with the name of Pseg Long Island. The company distributes a broad line of Energy services ranging from electricity to natural gas distribution to residential, industrial and commercial use. It serves more than 1.1 million people living in the country as their customers. Its service area covers parts such as Nassau County, Suffolk County, Rockaway, Queens. The company have its offices in parts where it supplies energy services with the corporate office of the company located in Uniondale, New York, United States. PSEG Long Island is the principal subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group(PSEG).
