What is Lays Potato Chips?
Lay's is the potato CHIPS brand owned by Pepsico under the division of Frito-Lay and is based in the United States. Lay's was first introduced in 1932 as Chip manufacturer company. In 1958, the company started to sell barbecue flavored potato chips and later on introduced salted chips in 1970's. In many countries, it is available as Walkers, Smith's, Chipsy and under other labels. The company also owned different brands such as Rold Gold pretzels, Munchos, Funyuns, and Sun Chips, Fritos, Doritos, Ruffles, Cheetos etc.
The company introduced Frito-Lay with the collaboration in 1965. It was the first company to launch its own TV commercial in 1944. Lay's company has over 45000 employees in United States and Canada. Lay's is available in many flavors in the USA such as Sour Cream and Onion, Dill Pickle, Barbecue, Cheddar and Sour Cream, Limón etc.
