What is Langley Research Center?
Langley Research Center (LaRC) is a research field center of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) situated at 11 Langley Boulevard, Hampton, Virginia, United States. Nasa is an American based government agency which is answerable for civilian space program and for aeronautics and aerospace research in the country. Langley Research Center was created in the year 1917 by National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. It was started with the name of Langley Memorial Aeronautical Laboratory. The headquarters of the Langley Research Center is located in Hampton, Virginia, United States. Lesa B Roe is the Director of the research center. It is one of the oldest research centers in the United States. The research center has approximately 40 wind tunnels which helps in improvement of aircraft and spacecraft safety, performance and efficiency. It was operated as the space Task Group's office.
