What is Lady Bird Lake?
Lady Bird Lake is water reservoir and Lake falls in the area of Downtown Austin, Texas. Colorado River is the primary water source in the lake. Lady Bird Lake is spread over an area of 468 acres and its maximum depth is 18 feet. The major objective to make this was to stop flood in the city, but with the passage of time it has become of the well known recreational areas in the county. There is also Water Treatment Plant at lake that makes supply fresh drinking water to the region. It was built in 1925, apart from this; the lake has variety of fishes including largemouth bass, catfish, carp, and sunfish.
