What is Klm Contact?
Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij abbreviated as KLM is a state airline serving Amsterdam Airport Schiphol as its primary hub. It is an international airlines, sometime credited to as Royal Dutch Airlines. KLM is the prominent airline in the airline industry of the Europe having strength of approximately 32,000 staff members including ground staff. KLM initiated its service on 7 October 1919 as KLM, and Albert Plesman was brain behind this initiative. The foundation story of the company dates back to second decade of 20th century when Lieutenant Albert Plesman organized an aviation exhibition in Amsterdam which got quite success and he got motivate to setup a Dutch airline. On September 1919, Wilhelmina, the queen of Kingdom of the Netherlands gave royal title to this yet to be founded airline. KLM's First Flight was started in May, 1920, and it was between Croydon Airport, London and Amsterdam and De Haviland DH-16 was the first aircraft of the airline which used on lease. Jerry Shaw was the first pilot of this airline, and aircraft was caring two British journalist.
Coming of 2004, made one more change to airline, as in May 2004 KLM got mere with Air France and became Air France KLM Group, operates from headquarters located in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Both airlines, Air France and KLM are running their flights independently as a separate subsidiaries of the Air France KLM Group. As per the survey of 2014, KLM has strength of 118 aircrafts; all are Next generation aircraft. Numerous Airbus and Boeing aircrafts have been added to fleet; some of them are Boeing 737-700, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 777-200, Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300 etc. All the Klm Airlines are equipped with variety of In-flight amenities such as video on demand, TV programmes, music, games, movies, Wi-Fi, in-flight magazines etc. The Airline also offers Three course meal which is served to business class passengers. KLM provides three different types cabin facility for all international routes: World Business Class, Europe Business Class and Economy Class. As the name suggests, World Business Class is a business class seat which is 20 inches wide and seat distance is 60 inch. Apart from this, these cabin are equipped with the facility of laptop power ports etc. Europe Business Class is other cabin facility of the airline which is available on all Boeing 737 aircrafts. The cabin is equipped with the facility of middle seat blocked, extra legroom etc. Third Cabinet is Economy class which is parted into two types: Economy Comfort and Economy Class. Economy Comfort is the premium economy cabin having total space of 91 cm. On the hand, Economy Class has total space of 81 cm. and all the seats are adjustable.
KLM Airline operates flights to over 133 domestic and international destinations; these destinations include 69 countries and five continents. As per the network chart, KLM operates 30% of its flights to Europe (including France); 29% to Americas; 20% to Asia. Besides this, Africa and Middest East is given 14% flight focus and only 7% flights are operated to Caribbean and Indian Ocean. Under the Code share agreement KFl shares aircrafts of Aer Lingus, Bulgaria Air, Flybe, Olympic Air, Westjet, Thalys, Rossiya, Pegasus Airlines, Georgian Airways, Copa Airlines, Cityjet etc. KLM also run a loyal program under which Benefits on air travel and other services are given to loyal and regular passengers. The Frequent Flyer program is known as Flying Blue. Apart from this, the airline has airline alliance with Skyteam, a well known airline alliance based at World Trade center, Haarlemmermmeer, Netherlands.
