What is Kenya Ports Authority?
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) is a state-owned agency of the Kenya Ministry of Transport dedicated to shipping and Maritime services. The KPA is accountable to operate, maintain, improve and regulate all scheduled seaports on the Indian Ocean coastline of the country. It was founded by an Act of Parliament in the year 1978 with its headquarters situated in Mombasa. Kenya Ports Authority's ports are also located in Funzi, Lamu, Mtwapa, Vanga, Malindi, Shimoni, Kilifi and Kiunga.
