What is karen armstrong?
Karen Armstrong is an English author and academic. She was born on 14 November 1944 in Wildmoor, Worcestershire, England and is popularly known for her books on comparative religion. Karen Armstrong became famous with the book A History of God: The 4,000-Year Quest of Judaism, Christianity and Islam which was released in 1993. Karen Armstrong is also a former Christian Nun and began her career as an author in 1970's. She has been honored with many awards such as Muslim Public Affairs Council's Media Award (1999), Freedom of Worship Award (2008) and TED Przie (2008). The notable works of Karen Armstrong include Muhammad: A Biography of the Prophet (1991), The Battle for God: Fundamentalism in Judaism, Christianity and Islam (2000), Faith After 11 September (2002) and Muhammad: A Prophet For Our Time (2006).
