What is Kamloops Food Bank?
The Kamloops Food Bank dates back to 1981 and was started in the premises of the United Church. Since then it was moved to different locations till it became the Kamloops Food Bank and Outreach Society in 1988. It was shifted to its current location in 2002. Its mission to provide food to the needy residents. The bank also encourages donation and other charity activities among people. It also has the project namely Food Share program, which has been started in 2006 and collects food from the grocery stores, bakeries and other eateries. Kamloops Food Bank a nonprofits organization provide all the needed food items to downtrodden people. The organization has well established mechanism to serve needy people. Kamloops Food Bank take food items from the volunteer Donner's and also collect monetary donation as well. The organization strives to protect needy people from all types of exploitation.
