History
The airline was established on 28 June, 1927 and started its operations on 14 December 1927. On 30 September 1944 Iberia became segment of INI and started its flight services across the country. The airline was privatized in 2001 and listed its shares on Madrid stock exchange. As of the year 2006, Terminal 4 became the member of Oneworld Alliance.
Fleet Size and Destinations
Iberia has largest fleet size of more than 74 aircrafts including Airbus A319-100, Airbus A321-200, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A340-300 and many more. The airline provides its services to more than 103 destinations in approximately 38 countries and nearly 87 destinations by another airlines through code-sharing agreements.
Iberia Services
The airline is a joint venture of Qantas, British Airways, American Airlines, Grupo TACA and Avianca. Iberia aircrafts are sectioned in two classes Business class and Economy class. The inter-European and Spanish domestic flights offers Business class services and Business club is available for Egypt, Israel, Russia and Nigeria. The Economy class is available in all domestic routes of Iberia and is offered on long-distance flights including intercontinental flights.
