History and Description
In the beginning, the services of the company were provided in British Columbia and
Alberta only. It was in the year 1935 that the company combined with the
Greyhound USA and later in the year 1987, it got separated from Greyhound USA as it was purchased by Laidlaw. Once again it was in 1999 that the Greyhound Canada and Greyhound USA combined together when Greyhound USA was purchased by Laidlaw during this year. The company made two major acquisitions in the South-Central Ontario region in 1989 as it overtook the Voyageur Colonial Bus Lines of Quebec and Penetang-Midland Coach Lines of Central Ontario respectively. More than 6.5 million people travel in the company's buses each year. The coaches are equipped with the automatic transmission systems. There are eight different regions where the bus service of the company is provided that is Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba, Ontario and Northwest Territories.
