The company is merger of Ayala Corporation and Singapore Telecom that operates technologically advanced broadband networks, distributors, suppliers, retailers and fixed lines. In the year of 1928 Congress passed Act 3495 granting Robert Dollar Company to operate Globe Wireless Limited that was renamed Globe Mackay Cable and Radio Corporation. In 1991 Globe Mackay was merged with Clavecilla Radio Corporation that renamed GMCR and the name was approved in 20th of August 1998. Globe, Islacom, Ayala Corporation, Asiacom Philippines, Deutsche Telekom and Singapore Telecom decided to combine their business in 22nd of February 2000. On 30th of March 2007 the company was known as the name Globe Telecom.
