What is Freedom Trail Boston?
The Freedom Trail is the path made from the Red bricks and heads to the Historic s of the city from Boston Common to Bunker Hill. It was Proposed in 1951 by William Schofield, a local journalist to connect together all the important landmarks of the city through a single trail. The plan of Mr Schofield was executed by John Hynes, the mayor of Boston. It is 4 km long and winds along many historical landmarks during Colonial period of the USA of the city such as Boston Common, Massachusetts State House, The John Adams Courthouse, Faneuil Hall, Old North Church etc. It is maintained by the Freedom Trail Foundation and the City of Boston's "Freedom Trail Commission". It was designated as Millennium Trail in 2000 by then first lady, Hillary Clinton.
