I teach middle school in Lacey, WA and I know how important it is to connect with your students to get the best out of them. I recently went to Salem, OR to watch the everett aquasox play the Salem Keizer Volcanoes on Sunday, July 24th. I was so impressed with the interaction that hitting coach Brian Hunter had with the S-K ballboy. He was talking to the young man the whole game. Often tapping him on his batting helmet for a job well done. Sure, wins and losses are important, but, more importantly are the relations you make with people. I'm sure that this young man from S-K will long remember the wonderful positive feedback that he got from an amazing man. Brian Hunter. Hitting coach of the everett aquasox.
