What if my son and his wife are no longer in good terms with each other and they have an irresconciliable differences what would be the possible visitation arrangement for my son with his son who is nine months old. The baby is in custody of the mom and now nine mos. Old. My son is based in the US and his wife is trying to deprived him of his rights as a father to their son. My son is also trying to provide support to the baby by providing all his needs that includes: diaper, wipes, milk and etc. Including paying for the electricity for the A/C in the dwelling own by his wife's father. The wife however is returning back all these provisions. My son already brought the case to the Barangay and they were both investigated in that sector, but they didn't come up with a good decision. Instead their case was brought to your Office(DSWD). I would like to know how will this work, I mean the visitation schedule for the baby. This happened b/c the wife is not willing to share the baby with my son and our family. My son will be in the Phils. Until May, 2017 only. And how sure are we that his wife will follow whatever guidelines that your office will set up for such visitation. Also we would like to know if we as grandparents would be given a chance to see the baby when we're in the Phils. We're trying to fix the problem b/w my son and his wife, but his wife is very tough and very disrespectful to us. Our son is so meek that he can not voice out his opinion or in other words a weakling type of a person. They were married twice, one civil last March 2015 and the church wedding last Oct 22, 2016. His wife is teaching in one of the prestigious catholic school, a grade school teacher. I could also say that this woman is very manipulative. He used to threat my son to be arrested by Police officers, NBI and she can hold his departure back to the US. All these threats prompted my son to file a complaints against her in the barangay level and now to be filed in DSWD.
