Dawn History
Previously Dawn was a weekly publication, but later Dawn became a daily newspaper in the directions of its first editor Pothan Joseph in 1942. Later on, Altaf Husain took over as the publication's editor. Under the direction of the owner of the brand it became the official instrument of the Pakistan Muslim League in Delhi. To spread the business in the country and to provide the more customer services after two months of test transmissions the brand started 24 hours English news channel in 2007. But in 2010 the English language of the channel has been converted in to Urdu. Later on Dawn Media Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the year of 2011.
