What is City of Cambridge Water and Sewer?
The Cambridge Water Department (CWD) is the department that provides water utility services and sewage collection services to the people within the state. The department is divided into 5 divisions such as Administration Division, Water Operations Division, the Engineering and Distribution Division, Treatment and Operations Division and Watershed Management Division to supply fresh and safe water to the Citizens of Cambridge. The department is under the direct supervision of City of Manager of Water Board. The programs offered include High Reads Leaks and Meter Replacement, Source Water Protection, Volunteer at Fresh Pond and Water Resource Monitoring. To provide water and sewerage facilities to the people, the water purification plant has been put into service that offers water operation 24 hours a day. The department basically focuses on revitalizing the water distribution system, saving Energy through GreenSense Program, process modifications in terms of storage, pump, disinfection and filter operations, etc. The department quarterly issues water bills to the customers that are to be paid within 30 days from the date the bill was issued. The Cambridge Water Department (CWD) is opened for 5 days a week from Monday to Friday and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
