What is Canadian Senate?
Canadian Senate is the upper house of Canadian Parliament composed of monarch and House of Commons. It comprises 105 members, which are further appointed by Governor General of Canada, and he takes the advice of Prime minister on their appointment. Every seat is elected from divided regions. Canada is divided into four main Regions namely Western provinces, Maritime Provinces, Quebec, and Ontario. All senators are served on their position, until; they reach 70 of their age. House of the common is considered the Lower house and less powerful than upper house, and they has power to reject the Bill passed by the lower house. Canadian Senate consists of a speaker and the leader of the Government in the Senate.
