What is Canada Place Pier?
Canada Place Pier is a trade Centre situated on Burrard Inlet, British Columbia. It houses numerous commercial buildings of the country such as Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver World Trade Centre, Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel etc. Its construction started on March 9, 1983, and made it open on May 2, 1986. The whole trade center is designed by architect Eberhard Zeidler, later on. It had to be expanded in 2011 to fulfill the need of another cruise Ship berth. In addition, it serves main Press center and main cruise ship terminal of the area. There are 23 floors are built in this trade center, and total height of the building is 81.5 meters. Canada Place has Sky train services from Waterfront Station terminus and Cordova Street. Throughout the year many programs and events are organized at this place such as Canada Day, Christmas, Sails of Light and other community events.
