What is Caltrain Contact?
Caltrain is a passenger train line between South Bay and Gilroy, VIA San Jose. This rail road was constructed by the San Francisco and San Jose Railrod Board in the year 1863. It is a single line rail road that covers approximately 32 stations, come in the way. This passenger train services majorly serves the region of San Francisco, Santa Clara, and San Mateo. Caltrain is run by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Power Board, and this board consists of representatives from the counties like San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara. Amtrak Transit has been operating train services for Caltrain train line since 1987, following 29 stops. Its few of major stations are San Francisco Station, Bayshore Station, Burlingame Station and Hillsdale Station. As per the report 2012, on an average 92 weekdays trains are being run on this train line, in which most of the trains are baby bullet trains. A high speed rail service is also operated in this Caltrain train line, called California High Speed Rail, running between San Jose and San Francisco. California High Speed Rail is the fastest train service in the state of California that reaches up-to the maximum speed of 125 MPH. Coming to stations, Caltrin's stations have been parted into zones, as per the area. In 2013, it had daily ridership of 47,060 on weekdays, and on Saturday and Sunday it reaches maximum up-to 13,000. In addition to this, the station is equipped with all basic facilities including wheel chair, two wheeled mobility device, etc. Moving toward the infrastructure, Caltrain station is two story building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
