What is Busselton Jetty?
Busselton Jetty is the largest wooden pier that is 2 KM long. Due to the shallow water of the bay, a long jeety was required to transport the cut timbers in the ships. In 1839 Governor Hutt announced a place in Geographe Bay as the legal location for the loading and unloading goods in the ship. The Jetty was opened in 1853 as Vasse Jetty and was 176 meter long. It extended continually till 1960 and has become 1841 meter long. There is a rail line along its length that works as part of the Busselton-Bunbury line. The address and contact number of Busselton Jetty is also used for Busselton Jetty Fishing, Busselton Jetty Restaurant, Busselton Jetty Chalets, Busselton Jetty History, Busselton Jetty Pictures, Busselton Jetty Swim, Busselton Jetty Tripadvisor and Busselton Jetty Train.
