What is Burghley House?
Burghley house is a Country house situated in Lincolnshire, UK. It dates back to 1558 and is built in Elizabethan style of architecture. It was constructed for Sir William Cecil. The park was added by Capability Brown. the House is at the distance of 1.4 km South of Satmford and 16 km from the City of Peterborough. The pagoda room of the house has the collection of the Cecil family's portraits along with the Painted walls and ceilings. Today it is Grade I listed building with with individually Grade I listed north Courtyard and gate. It is the public place.
