I recently purchased a pearl necklace and earrings. There were two different sets and I was told by the clerk that they were both freshwater pearl sets. I asked how can you tell and she said by rubbing them against your teeth, they will feel gritty, which she didn't do of course. I purchased the one set and when I arrived home I tested the pearls by rubbing two together and they were smooth. I called the store and spoke to Jennifer the clerk and she said they are "shell Pearls". I asked if they were freshwater and she wasn't sure what shell pearls were and would "Google them" I couldn't believe it, as she had told me both sets were freshwater. After googling them she said that shell pearls are crushed shells, I repeated what she had told me about the set and she said "I told you they were shell pearls. She lied, I had told her that I wanted real pearls and she told me that they were freshwater. I came back to the store and spoke to the manager, the manager backed Jennifer's lie (even when Jennifer came over and mentioned googling the product for information, an oops, as this exposed her lie), but still the manager backed her lies said all sales are final. I told the manager that with final sales doesn't include lies and deceit. She told me that she would call security. UNBELIEVABLE I cannot express how upset I am at, not only the conduct, but the lack of integrity, out and out lies.
